My story begins quite similar to many working moms in Corporate America. After having my 2nd child, I looked at the career I had built (and LOVED), and took stock on my life. I needed more balance. I wanted to be more connected to my community. I wanted to be more present for my children. I wanted to give back in a way that made a difference.
But I also wanted a challenge. To start over. To push myself. To create something completely new and different, and to figure out how to do so with raising a family. To build something of my own from the ground up.
So, five years ago, I left my corporate Senior Management Position at a NYC Marketing firm to take a sabbatical….to breathe, to find myself again, to reignite my passions and to focus on my children.
Weeks later I started my own company, beginning with soft, comfortable clothing, rooted in connecting with my community and giving back to worthy causes. I have since expanded to include various offerings from the most amazing shoes and fun jewelry, to great handbags, clean skincare and beauty, and even the best gourmet candy and popcorn I’ve ever had!
Everything I source and share has a common thread: All bring me immense joy, and in doing so I hope to share this joy with you. I also now have three beautiful children and a supportive husband who goes along with my entrepreneurial spirit, and I'll always be a work in progress with figuring out the work/life balance of it all.
Thanks for being a part of my small business dream. To bring joy to others, and to do so while supporting my family, giving back to my community and most importantly, creating some incredible friendships along the way. Xoxo, Janell
